“He did a lot of things and he did it consistently through camp and earned himself this opportunity.” Cuylle, the team’s second-round pick in 2020, dressed for five of the Rangers’ six preseason games and registered two goals and an assist. The 6-foot-3 Cuylle totaled 25 goals and 45 points in 69 games for Hartford in his first full professional season in 2022-23.He also appeared in four games for the Rangers, making his NHL debut Jan. 25 in Toronto, his hometown.“Absolutely,” he said. “Obviously I got the first one out of the way. I think last year was a really good opportunity for me to see what it’s like, going up for the road trip to Toronto and seeing what that’s like.
