Alex Lowry has posted a petition appeal online after his dog sadly perished after a fire broke out at a Kirkland K9 located in Jackton near the East Kilbride earlier this year
Rangers starlet Alex Lowry, who is currently on loan at Hearts, made a heartfelt appeal on social media after his dog sadly passed away in a kennel fire earlier this year.
He shared the petition on Instagram and wrote: "During summer while we were on holiday one of my girlfriend and I's pups Sunny tragically died in a fire at the boarders she was staying at ."She would have lived if there were fire regulations in place.To comply with fire safety regulations dog kennels just need to have a fire extinguisher on site. The petition was organised by Julie Louden who lost her dog Monty in the inferno.
"I want safety standard within boarding kennels improved to at least have smoke alarms and early detection systems in place to try and ensure this does not happen again. "I am now able to take bookings at Kirklands K9 for limited day care and boarding as I start to rebuild my business. I am looking forward to hopefully welcoming back old and new furry friends.
