ARLINGTON — Texas Rangers ace Jacob deGrom will throw another bullpen on Monday, manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday, and could “possibly” pitch to live hitters...

He had a 2.67 ERA in his first six games started for the Rangers before he left an April 28 start vs. the New York Yankees with forearm soreness.

RHP Kyle Funkhouser threw to live hitters on Saturday before the Rangers took batting practice, and Bochy said that he’ll leave for extended spring training in Arizona on either Saturday or Sunday and could start his rehab assignment within a couple of weeks: “He’s on his way,” Bochy said ... Shortstop Corey Seager will play designated hitter in Sunday’s series finale vs. the Colorado Rockies, Bochy said.
