The former Light Blues captain has backed Michael Beale to turn things around in Govan after a tough start to the season. Writing in his Daily Record column, he said:"Michael Beale and his players have been battered from pillar to post since Sunday afternoon and that comes with the territory when you let the Rangers support down. I know. I’ve been there and it is a horrible feeling
"You can’t change the past, but you can affect the future, though, and that’s the message those Rangers players should be hearing over the coming days. There’s a lot of noise just now and the only way to quieten it is to do the business on the pitch.
