Over 800 users"liked" the Facebook post, and hundreds left messages of support, pledging to pray for the host, his family and colleagues at SuperTalk 99.7 WTN. Some affectionately called him"Uncle Phil."
In a radio segment aired earlier this month on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, Mandis told listeners"everybody misses Phil.", said the host is"just the nicest guy and loves to help people out." Of his condition, he said:"I know I'd be emotional about this, but not to the point that I have. It's been a very dark period.""out of an abundance of caution" to give his body"much-needed rest," his family said in a statement at the time.
