Upon arriving to school Monday morning, custodians found racist messages and slurs targeting several ethnic groups in the courtyard of Chisholm Trail High School and the front walkway of Ed Willkie Middle School.March 3. Police found nothing to substantiate that threat, district spokeswoman Megan Overman said.
Both schools are in far northwest Fort Worth but are part of the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw school district. District police officers are investigating the graffiti and reviewing security cameras, Chisholm Trail principal Winston McCowan wrote in a letter to parents. “Part of what makes our community great is our diversity,” McCowan said in the letter. “We will not tolerate anything that makes our campus uncomfortable for any child.”
