I’m Jon Fahey, health ＆ science editor at The Associated Press. Around the world, people are committing their lives to protect or restore ecosystems that are important both for the planet and for the humans who live on it. Our series, “What Can Be Saved?” is about those people. Ask me anything.
The story of the environment is one of doom and gloom, for good reason. But it’s not the only story. Some people are taking action, dedicating their lives and careers to healing their patch of the planet. The AP is at the beginning of a 12-week series of stories called "What Can Be Saved?" told from 10 countries on 5 continents about efforts to save or revive habitats and species, reversing some of humankind’s most destructive past actions.
