Every year, studios try to woo editors’ attention with all manner of promotional items. Can you match the loot with the project it’s supposed to publicize?
It’s a necessity, particularly in the late spring and in the fall when swag boxes start to pile up on my doorstep. Let’s face it: Awards season is, at this point, year-round; so, too, is Swag Season — and the gifts are seemingly endless, and of varying quality and ingenuity.
There are the personalized items, like the Levi’s denim jacket with a hot-pink “TYLER” embroidered on the front left pocket, courtesy of Peacock in its promotion of. There’s character-specific swag, like the-branded plastic cup and reusable straw, similar to what Amanda Seyfried carried as Elizabeth Holmes in her Emmy-winning performance .
