Many have come with layers of warm clothing, blankets wrapped around themselves, and food and drink supplies. She was back at the beginning again to do it all again. “We are just thinking it’s 4pm now so we will get there at 5am or 4am,” Ms Mahon said, who had come from London.
“I am honoured to be here to be able to pay my respects on behalf of the many millions of good Russians.”Anzhelika added: “Alexandra is my friend. We prove that the Ukrainian and Russian people can be friends and that many Russians know Putin’s war is wrong.A group of Chinese students were also in the queue, blankets over their shoulders after a long and chilly morning.“We got the Southwark Park at 5.30am,” said one of the students. “They gave us these blankets.
“Well, I guess I’m going to the funeral then,” she said. “It will be amazing. I hadn’t thought I would go. I just wanted to be in London to mark this occasion. Back home in Canada we are so sad. We loved the Queen like you guys did.”Among those waiting was Tejkumar, who joined the Gurkhas in 1982 and served for 20 years. His father was a Gurkha, as was his father before him.
