A maniac quad bike rider left his passenger with brain bleeds and a fractured skull after careering into a roundabout in North Lanarkshire.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that the quad bike was spotted speeding through the town by locals, 'skipping and jumping' over the road surface. Lally, 33, lost control of the vehicle while trying to take a roundabout. Lally, of Wishaw, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted causing injury by dangerous driving in May 2021.
"Another road user observed the quad bike to overtake his vehicle and thereafter he observed the driver almost lose control when negotiating a roundabout. Another road user observed the quad bike travelling at high speed and saw it lose traction and carry sideways while the driver, the accused, was trying to regain control.
