Provo Mayor Michelle Kaufusi announced this week that the Provo Airport — which services commercial flights through Breeze Airways and Allegiant Air — will soon become an international airport.
In a Facebook post from the Stadium of Fire event, she stated, "Our Provo Airport is thriving, filled to capacity with eager airlines, and it won't be long until it emerges as the Provo International Airport!"
"Both airlines have requested that we get ready for that, and so we're in plans right now, already, expanding the terminal to accommodate international arrivals. It's quite a process," Brian Torgersen said.
