Their nuptial was well fought for. California voters passed Proposition 8 in 2008, which amended the state’s constitution“Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.” The four plaintiffs in the case against Prop. 8 included two same-sex couples — Perry and Stier and Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo of Burbank.
