Teen Titans comics writer Marv Wolfman reacts to Titans being cancelled. 'I'm so sorry to hear that HBO's Titans is coming to an end. This season really rocked. A big thank you to the cast and crew for taking such good care of George and my babies.'
Prolific Teen Titans writer Marv Wolfman reacts to HBO Max officially canceling the DC TV show Titans. HBO Max is getting ready to bid farewell to not one but two of their popular DC TV shows from Arrowverse creator Greg Berlanti. After months of speculation, Titans and Doom Patrol were officially canceled in January 2023, with their respective season 4 set to wrap up both series.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Actors from Titans and Doom Patrol have come out with statements over the last few days thanking viewers for all their support. There has also been a reaction on social media with disappointment around HBO Max cutting both DC dramas after only four seasons. Industry figures have also chimed in about Titans and Doom Patrol getting cut from HBO Max. One of them is Marv Wolfman, who is known to the comics world as one of the defining Teen Titans writers, as he helped set the tone for the group in the 1980s. Wolfman, who has been supportive of Titans since the very beginning, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the show coming to an end.
Titans season 4, part 2, will also see the romance between Nightwing and Starfire blossom even more. According to Titans showrunner Greg Walker, the back half of the season may see the return of some familiar allies. There is also the heavily rumored Stargirl crossover, as Brec Bassinger and Potter shared a cryptic image back in the fall from Toronto, Canada, which is where Titans filmed.
Can Titans Be Revived Elsewhere? With Titans coming to an end on HBO Max, many have wondered if other places could revive the series. It is not unheard of for studios to shop around shows that get canceled on one platform before trying to find a new home. At the time of HBO Max's announcement that Titans and Doom Patrol were ending after this season, Warner Bros. TV had reportedly not been considering shopping either series to different outlets.
