Following two years at Overbrook and one at Camden, high-flying wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby, who committed to Texas A&M on July 1, will spend his senior year at Winslow Township under the tutelage of coach Bill Belton and his all-star staff.
Hornsby, who will spend his senior year at Winslow Township after competing for Camden high as a junior, is a bouncy athlete with elite body control who stands out on the gridiron and hardwood for high-pointing the football and soaring through the air for explosive dunks, contorted finishes at the rim and shot blocks.
“Cam said this to me,” Belton recalled. “They were going head-to-head in practice. He said that once he got a step behind Jaylan, he couldn’t see anything. He’s just too big. And once he puts his hands up there isn’t much you can really do unless you are that size, too.” “His best days of playing football are ahead of him as he continues to develop, but he’s special. Once you get your hands on him, you can mold him into what you need him to be.”
