Sacramento Republic forward Da'vian Kimbrough becomes the youngster person to play professional football in the USA.
Kimbrough, aged 13 years, seven months and 13 days, came off the bench in the 87th minute against Las Vegas Lights.
The previous record was held by Axel Kei, who was 13 years, nine months and nine days old in October 2021 when he appeared for Real Monarchs.The USL Championship is one tier below the MLS. The teenager scored 27 goals in 31 appearances for Sacramento's under-13 team in 2021, when he was 11 years old and has taken part in a training camp with Mexico's Under-16 team.
