Actress and producer Priyanka Chopra-Jonas joined the Holberton School as an investor and advisor to help further the careers of women in tech.
Sylvain Kalache and Julien Barbier noticed a big problem while working in Silicon Valley when it came to recruiting talent.
They had noticed aspiring software engineers would devote years to studying, sometimes accumulating over a hundred thousand dollars of student debt, and would still not have the skills necessary to find a job in the space. So Kalache and Barbier decided to build a new school-. The school allows students to learn tuition-free until they find a job post-graduation.
