A Royal expert made the claim on TV
According to a royal expert, it was once claimed by Prince Harry that the Duchess of Cambridge was "almost a prisoner" at her home in Kensington Palace. The London palace is currently home to Prince William, the Duchess and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, but recent reports suggest that they could soon be moving to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate.
Ingrid told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat that: "I think what William and Catherine will have for their children is the freedom they didn't have at Kensington Palace. I remember Harry saying to a friend of mine that Catherine was almost a prisoner at Kensington Palace, and I thought don't be ridiculous, it's the most gorgeous place to live in London.
The Times were reportedly told by a friend that once the children are through "the school years" they plan to move to Norfolk on a more permanent basis. The friend added: ""They absolutely love it up there, it's their happy place."
