Author Ingrid Seward says the public are only interested in 'personal stuff' from Harry and Meghan
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are said to have 'trapped' themselves in their decision to disclose details about their lives before becoming ex-royals and that of the monarchy as an institution.
The comments come as Harry and Meghan's controversial Netflix docuseries failed to secure any nominations for this year's Emmy awards despite being a huge success with 81.6 million hours of viewing time which left the couple "devastated" at the snub. She added: "They are having a run of bad luck in their working life. But ironically as long as they concentrate on delivering personal stuff instead of more serious work, people will be interested. They have built a gilded cage of expectation around themselves from which it will be hard to escape."
She said: "Meghan and Harry will concentrate in this and make it a positive, however irritated they might be not to be in the Emmy nominations. The series is an intimate look at ‘hardships’ they faced in their honey-colored, rose-tinted world."
