The boozer has again caught the attention of Lancashire Constabulary for the wrong reasons

The landlords of a trouble-hit Preston pub have announced a farewell party as the venue faces a second review of its licence.

That review is due to take place next week but those running the city centre boozer have said they will leave regardless. They have also announced a leaving celebration which will take place the weekend before Preston City Council's licensing committee carries out that review.A sign placed on the pub's door states: "Apologies Patrons. The Stanley Arms is temporarily CLOSED due to licensing pressures.

A post on the pub's Facebook page adds: "We can't say what will happen next to The Stanley as we don't know at this point but there is too much pressure on ALL independent bars right now. This is on top of the current economic challenges with the cost of utilities and products both higher than ever. We will be going out in style this weekend and having a big 2 day party."
