Marianne Williamson lays off entire campaign staff
WASHINGTON – Author and activist Marianne Williamson, who is a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, has laid off her entire campaign staff, multiple sources with knowledge of her campaign confirmed to USA TODAY on Thursday.
Former New Hampshire congressional representative Paul Hodes, who served as a Williamson campaign senior adviser as well as New Hampshire state director, also confirmed the layoffs. Williamson’s campaign has struggled to take off. She has not qualified for the last four Democratic primary debates, and currently stands at an average of 0.2% in national polls, according to polling data aggregated by RealClearPolitics.
