The president served up burgers and chicken sandwiches to the North Dakota State Bison almost two months after treating Clemson to fast food.
President Donald Trump treated college football champion North Dakota State of the Football Championship Series just like he did Clemson — to a fast food feast at the White House.
“I know you people,” Trump told the Bison while referring to Clemson’s visit, getting laughter from more than 150 NDSU players and staff. “We like American companies.” Matt Entz, who’s the new NDSU coach, told the Grand Forks Herald that the trip had nothing to do with politics, but a way to keep the 2018 team together just one more time as the underclassmen can focus on the next season.
Despite the food, championship ceremonies went on as planned at the White House. North Dakota State quarterback Easton Stick made his way back from the recent NFL Combine to present President Trump with a Bisons #45 jersey.
