Premier League chiefs want the “30 second rule” scrapped as refereeing decisions and their outcome on matches continue to dominate the top-flight scene.
At the start of the campaign, there was the introduction of a ’30 second rule’, where players must stay off the pitch for at least half a minute after receiving treatment, brought in to stop players running down the clock. It’s not had the desired effect in the top-flight however and fans, pundits and even players up and down the nation have voiced their displeasure at the new ruling.
