While hikers are allowed limited access to a portion of the trail, the majority of it remains closed as park teams work diligently to clear debris and fix damaged areas.
Michael Ingles, a frequent hiker who knows the Timpanogos Cave Trail well, expressed his disappointment at the closure."I hiked it probably around 165 times last year," he said. Images provided by the park service highlights the extensive snow and debris park teams are working to clear along the mile-and-a-half-long trail. Sections of the trail show damage, partially due to repeated avalanches this year.
