The Daily Record has taken to travel website Tripadvisor to look at some of Scotland's most popular tourist spots — sharing some bad reviews that prove you can't please everyone.

Arthur's Seat

The most popular spot in Edinburgh according to Tripadvisor, Arthur's Seat has an average rating of 4.5 out of five based on 21,635 reviews. While the ancient volcano is renowned for its spectacular views out across the capital, one unimpressed tourist called it "over-rated". The reviewer said: "You definitely need good walking shoes with a good grip as it is definitely slippy going up and more so coming down. You also have to be in good shape.

"I regard myself as a pretty fit person and I was puffed trying to get to the top and had to stop a couple of times for a breather literally! All in all the view was under whelming.
