Back to Liz Truss, who has been talking to reporters about her comments ruling out"handouts" to help people with rising energy costs in the coming months.
"We are Conservatives, we believe in low taxes. Of course we will need to deal with the circumstances as they arise, but my fundamental principle is that people should keep more of their own money and we should be on the side of people who do the right thing - people who go out to work, who set up their own businesses, people who are contributing to the economy because we need economic growth to get through these difficult times.
The bill would also make the government produce a report into extending and backdating the windfall tax on oil and gas company profits to help cover the cost. In a speech to staff, Ms Truss said she would"work with allies to defend freedom and democracy" and repeated her pledge to increase defence spending to 3% of GDP by 2030.

But Conservative minister for London Paul Scully, who is supporting Liz Truss, condemned the remarks, telling Sky News: “I don't think that sort of language of, 'electoral suicide' is helpful in any way."Shadow minister for employment Alison McGovern has refused to say if she backs the"Don't Pay UK campaign" which is encouraging people to boycott paying their energy bills amid spiralling prices.
