A 27-year-old woman fought off her would-be kidnapper and the suspect remains on the loose.

Around noon, the woman was walking on the 5800 block of Wales Avenue when a maroon 2009-10 Nissan Murano SUV pulled up to her, according to a Crime Stoppers report. The man driving the SUV got out and attempted to force the woman into the vehicle's back seat. The woman yelled and fought back, alerting neighbors, and got away.
