Police: Explosion being investigated at hotel near Montgomery-Gibbs airport [Breaking]
San Diego police were investigating reports of an explosion at a Kearny Mesa hotel Thursday morning, authorities said.
The explosion was reported around 10:20 a.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton on Aero Drive, which is just southwest of Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport — formerly known as Montgomery Field, a police spokesperson said.Firefighters went to the hotel after receiving a call about an apparent pipe bomb explosion, a spokesperson for San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said. “We received a call from the Sheraton...
