Police Scotland officers believe Jamie-Lee Harvie's friends 'hold the key to finding her' and have stressed that the schoolgirl 'is not in any trouble' over her disappearance.
Police have issued a fresh appeal for information following the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl who vanished a week ago.
Jamie-Lee Harvie was last spotted by a family member at Irvine railway station in North Ayrshire at around 3.30pm on Tuesday 14 March. An unconfirmed sighting placed the schoolgirl near Irvine Royal Academy at around 7pm on Saturday, but since then there have been no further reports.Chief Inspector Kevin Lammie said:"At 12-years-old, Jamie-Lee is just a child, one year out of primary school, and she has now been missing without a trace for a week, which is extremely concerning."We have a team of dedicated officers who have been speaking with her family and friends, who we believe hold the key to finding her.
