UPDATE: Pursuit suspect surrenders to officers and is now in custody
The pursuit started in the Antelope Valley, going down the 14 Freeway. The driver was seen at one point going off-road and reaching speeds upwards of 80 mph on the southbound 405 Freeway approaching the Sepulveda Pass.Authorities were in pursuit of a suspect wanted for allegedly assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon in the Santa Clarita area.
