An image of a man police want to speak with has been released
A teenage girl was sexually assaulted then pushed to the ground by a man riding an electronic scooter, police have revealed as a manhunt continues. Police said the 16-year-old was being supported by specialist officers as they issued a public appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
The girl was walking along a street when a man riding a scooter approached her. Police said he got off the scooter, attacked her then pushed her to the ground, before riding off on the scooter. The attack happened after Christmas. "On Sunday 29 December police received a report that at some time between 11pm and 11.15pm, a 16-year-old girl was walking along Rhodes Street, Orford, when an unknown man, who was riding an electric scooter, approached her.
"As part of their investigation, detectives have now released an image of a man they are keen to speak to. They also want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something that could be relevant to the investigation.
