Philadelphia police are investigating the shooting death of a 40-year-old man in Southwest Philadelphia.
According to authorities, the shooting took place on Wednesday night around 8 p.m. on the 6000 block of Regent Street.
Officers transported the man to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:38 p.m., per police. The investigation is ongoing and active, according to police. Tips can be submitted by calling 215-686-TIPS or texting PPD TIP . Tips can also be submitted anonymously
