A photographer managed to snap a bunch of photos of polar bears living in an abandoned Russian weather station.
how Dmitry Kokh had originally set out on a mission to Wrangel Island, which is located in the Arctic and—although deserted—currently remains under Russia’s control.
“I always wanted to get some nice shots of polar bears, and that was the main target of our expedition,” writes Kokh on his blog. “We expected to meet them mostly on Wrangel Island, famous all around the world for being the home for many bears.”
