As a mark of respect for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, a one minute silence was held before kick off.with various chances created, notably a shot from Olivia Askam that landed in the hands of the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of play.
Atherton Laburnum Rovers proved to be a tough opponent for PNE Women but were kept out by goalkeeper Stuttard as chances were created at both ends of the pitch over the first 45 minutes of the game. A chance from Hadley saw her one-on-one effort with the goalkeeper go just shy of the post in the 51st minute, and this was followed by multiple chances but no second goal that PNE were clearly eager for.
