Her career began after practising Kendo, which led her to turn to bodybuilding to improve her strength.She won the first International Federation of Bodybuilders Woman’s World Pro Bodybuilding Championship in 1979 In 2000, she was inducted into the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federal Hall of Fame for her work in the sport.
