The brewery’s production facility is at Fulton Road and Vega Avenue on Cleveland's West Side.
Paul Benner, co-founder of the brewery, would not comment on the number of layoffs – referring only to “several” workers in a statement. He also did not address the specific jobs that were affected.
“Since we started brewing at our Cleveland production facility in 2016, the building has been an important part of our business and will continue to play an integral role in our consumer-first strategy. We will continue to brew and package beer at the facility, but moving forward, we will evolve our production plan to best fit the space, focusing on brewing high-quality, great tasting beer.
It added seltzers and ciders to its portfolio. In 2019, it opened Phunkenship, a dedicated sour brewery and brewpub on Sackett Avenue. The brewery’s website has a reference to a 100-plus seat tasting room and patio planned this year for Pittsburgh.Great American Beer FestivalPlatform has had an ubiquitous presence in Cleveland, churning out scores of different beers. It embraced production through cans from its beginning, at a time when many craft breweries were still producing bottles.
Anheuser-Busch tapped into that presence and bought the brewery in 2019, adding it to its craft division.
