Pittsburgh Steelers safety Kameron Kelly was arrested Friday for allegedly making terroristic threats and resisting arrest.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Kameron Kelly was arrested Friday for allegedly making terroristic threats and resisting arrest, according to court documents obtained by USA TODAY Sports.

Kelly had a preliminary arraignment earlier Friday and is scheduled for a hearing in the afternoon. The official charges are two first-degree misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and one second-degree misdemeanor of resisting arrest. Kelly, 23, signed with the Steelers on April 8 as a free agent. He made a season-high six tackles in the season opener against the New England Patriots and his first career interception came against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens during Week 5.

The Round Rock, Texas, native played his college ball at San Diego State. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys following the 2018 draft but was cut before the season started. Kelly played for the San Diego Fleet in the failed Alliance of American Football, playing both receiver and cornerback.
