Dameon Pierce is used to playing at Jacksonville once a year. This year's trip just gave the former Florida Gator his NFL's team first win of the season.
After the game, Pierce walked into the his post-game interview full of energy, smiling and greeting the media before starting the press conference. When asked about the play, Pierce only had one thing on his mind.
It was the type of spark play the visitors needed if they wanted to ensure they would leave with a victory. And the type of play the Texans have started to rely on from the first-year back. Pierce finished the game with 26 carries for 99 yards with the touchdown on the ground, while adding in three receptions for 14 yards through the air.
“Every Georgia-Florida game, man. And it's kind of nostalgic. You think back to the days of your alma mater,” he said before pausing to do the Gator Chomp. “Like I say about every game, it’s a surreal moment.
