Rock will be remembered with “Celebration of Life” events at Fotografiska and the Georgia Room. The former will preview his final coffee table book.
An organizer for the event described it as “the first of a do-not-miss remembrance of Mick Rock’s legacy.”
Rock’s posthumous coffee table book features photos he took of Dave Grohl, Pharrell Williams, and Cyrus, among others. Cyrus was the last musician he shot when he photographed her “Plastic Hearts” album cover before his death. In the book, he describes “Miss Miley” as having “the complete duality like David… She’s really a girl, but she’s a complete tomboy too, which is really fabulous. David would’ve loved her,” he wrote.
