This Morning will seek to defend its best daytime show title at the annual bash as the programme continues to face backlash
Phillip Schofield has made a dramatic move ahead of Holly Willoughby attending her first National Television Awards without him. amid the furore surrounding Schofield's exit.
Schofield, 61, and Holly, 42, had also been longlisted for the best TV presenter prize, alongside fellow This Morning hosts Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, Rylan Clark and Martin Lewis, but only Alison and Martin made the cut, going up against Ant and Dec, Bradley Walsh and Claudia Winkleman.The NTAs come after Schofield’s resignation from ITV in May after he admitted to an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague on the show.
However, he does still follow former colleagues including Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, as well as the account for This Morning itself. Holly, meanwhile, does still follow Schofield on Instagram, as well as his daughters, Ruby and Molly. Following Phillip Schofield's shock exit from the show back in Mat, Holly is expected to lead the show as usual from Monday and Thursday with a rotating co-host from the 'This Morning family' whilst Alison and Dermot O'Leary are still expected to be back in their usual Friday slot.
