Phillip Schofield insists he 'did not groom' young male lover in bombshell interview PhillipSchofield
Phillip Schofield has insisted he "did not groom" the younger male colleague that he had an affair with during his time on This Morning.
“But of course I understand that there will be a massive judgment, but bearing in mind, I have never exercised that anywhere else." The 61 year old has seen his once-unmovable crown as the king of daytime TV come crashing to the ground, as he resigned completely from ITV, and was subsequently dropped by his management of 35 years, YMU, as well as multiple brands that have wiped him from their advertising.
His full statement read: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story. Since then though, Phillip has stepped away from ITV altogether, and will not be presenting the Soap Awards, after releasing a lengthy statement to MailOnline in which he admitted to having a longterm affair with a male colleague during his time on the show.
