PeterLindbergh’s Legacy Continues On With “Heimat. A Sense Of Belonging” | Opening this past weekend, the exhibition curated by giorgioarmani and the peterlindbergh Foundation honors the monumental work of the late photographer:
is an exhibition curated by Giorgio Armani and the Peter Lindbergh Foundation to honor the monumental work of the late photographer. A plethora of Lindbergh’s published and unpublished photography stretching across numerous decades will be displayed throughout Armani/Silos until August of this year.
Lindbergh’s work was featured in prominent magazines and film festivals alike since the ‘70s, but above all else, the photographer sought to find truth in and remove artifice from fashion photography. He mused the industrial sites from his German upbringing and the complexity of femininity, which the exhibition emphasizes through Lindbergh’s most acclaimed portraits where the soul of his subject is prioritized, a notion that forever changed the standards for fashion photography.
