The driver involved in a rollover wreck was fleeing a Simi Valley Walmart after stabbing an employee when the driver crashed into pedestrians, including students, authorities say.
The Thousand Oaks Sheriff’s Department said the crash involved at least four high schoolers who were hit near Lake View Canyon Road and Thousand Oaks Boulevard, close to Westlake High School. The Ventura County Fire Department said the crash happened just before 3:40 p.m. and involved five people total.
Two people were in critical condition, one suffered moderate injuries, and two suffered minor injuries when the vehicle rolled over, the fire department said. The driver of the car was wanted for allegedly stabbing an employee at a Walmart in Simi Valley, the Simi Valley Police Department said.
