According to WPVI, there was a strong smell of natural gas following the collapse, prompting some people in the area to be evacuated from their homes. Authorities confirmed the gas line has since been cut, but the local news station said residents are still advised to keep away from the area.she heard the crash and the subsequent breaking of the natural gas line just before 7 a.m., describing it as a"boom, then a monster sound.
