in Mustique, got back to royal duties on Thursday, August 8, by competing in a sailing race to benefit some of their favorite charities., it was Middleton's latest outfit choice that had folks on social media abuzz.We're all so used to seeing her in Alexander McQueen coatdresses and perfectly pinned fascinators that it was almost a shock to see Middleton's legs out and about in public. But of course, her outfit made perfect sense for the activity she was about to participate in.
It's really great to see the royals getting casual, though. And social media reactions were very emphatic and positive, which was wonderful, given how divisive royals commentary can sometimes get. "All I'm going to say is.. Kate needs to wear shorts more often! She is rocking them!" one Twitter user wrote. "No one freak out, but Kate Middleton wore shorts??? Yassss queeeeeennnnnn," another commented.
