A pensioner has died after he was hit by a car on a busy Lanarkshire road
The emergency services were called to the B7071 Glasgow Road, near Belmont Avenue, in Uddingston at around 11am Wednesday, May 17, following a report of a crash involving a car and pedestrian.Police say a 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident but has been released pending further enquiries.A picture at the scene showed a white sheet on the ground with evidence markers placed across the roadway.
