Detectives in Cumbria have informed Paul Taylor's family.
Police have confirmed that human remains discovered in Carlisle are of missing Scots dad Paul Taylor.
Paul vanished shortly before midnight on October 17 last year. A major search was launched before police south of the border found the dad's Vauxhall Corsa dumped in Langwathby, Cumbria. Top news stories today A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Human remains found in the area of Finglandrigg Wood, off the B5307 outside Carlisle, have been confirmed to be those of missing Annan man Paul Taylor.
"People are asked to avoid the area to allow this work to continue. Paul’s family have been informed."
