Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts won’t face off in the Super Bowl until Sunday, but Mahomes has already one-upped his fellow quarterback.
Mahomes got 48 of 50 first-place votes and ran away with the award, while Hurts received just one first-place vote. The 27-year-old, now in his sixth year, led Kansas City to a 14-3 mark while throwing for a league-best 5,250 yards and NFL-high 41 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. He also tallied 358 rushing yards with four scores.
