An alleged armed carjacking suspect was shot and killed in Pasadena following a pursuit Saturday morning, July 30, authorities said.
Where the carjacking occurred and when the pursuit started weren’t immediately known, but it ended near Lake Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard, Pasadena police Lt. Carlo Montiglio said. Pasadena officers became involved in the chase about 2:25 a.m., with the shooting occurring shortly after it ended, Lt. Keith Gomez said. No officers were injured.Video from RMG News showed a suspect in a white minivan holding a gun, at times pointing it at his head, while in the parking lot of a strip mall. As the minivan moved forward, police appeared to fire through the windshield.
