The youngster was found by a local resident after wandering away from Rainbow Nursery on the town's Fullarton Road.
“The incident was very quickly contained, the child was returned to the nursery unharmed by a local resident. Explaining the incident happened a few weeks ago, Mr Cunningham said he had not been able to inform parents before due to an investigation. It has not been formally inspected since 2018 but the national watchdog has confirmed it is monitoring the standard of care.“The nursery has carried out an investigation into what lead to the incident and have been working closely with Renfrewshire Council and Care Inspectorate to agree on appropriate actions.
