Score never changes after third batter of the game, as Padres waste Ryan Weathers' career-high six innings

Over the course of his next 88 pitches, for a career-high total of 94, Weathers was in trouble just once. A strikeout and double play got him out of the fifth inning after the Braves loaded the bases with no outs on a double, a hit batter and a single.Weathers became the third Padres pitcher in five games to turn in a quality start and then watch his team lose.
Left-hander Max Fried, a former first-round pick by the Padres who was traded to Atlanta in December 2014 as part of the deal that brought Justin Upton to San Diego, was activated off the injured list Monday and shut the Padres out for five innings.
